Street markets (mercadillos)

If you want to buy African or Moroccan bags, earrings, belts, necklaces, or souvenirs, stop by Plaza del Duque or Plaza de la Magdalena. Be cautious with your bag or purse while shopping, as there are many pickpockets in the area. These markets are open Thursday to Saturday all day. Visiting these markets is a cultural experience—stop by Feria Street any Thursday morning. You’ll find ceramics, books, animals, antiques, furniture, and more at the markets.

If you want to stroll around on Sunday morning, stop by Plaza del Cabildo (in front of the Cathedral on Avenida de la Constitución), where you can buy stamps, banknotes, coins, medals, minerals, or military insignia. It’s also worth visiting Plaza del Museo, where local Sevillian artists sell paintings and sculptures. Both markets are open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Sunday.

The Alcosa Park market is held every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the open-air area on Professor Manuel Clavero Arévalo Street. It’s a large and popular market with over 400 stalls offering a wide variety of products, including clothing, footwear, accessories, cosmetics, crafts, fruits and vegetables, sausages, cheeses, baked goods, nuts, decorations, flowers, plants, and more.
